Tara is a photojournalist who is passionate about telling in-depth stories, and has over eight years of experience in documentary photography in the MENA region. She also works in radio broadcast and video production, in order to convey an engaging narrative that explores deeper human connections to important stories.
Her passion is covering strong women who are changing the world around them.
Tara worked as a staff photographer for the Associated Press for four years in the Middle East, covering the uprisings, revolutions and numerous elections in the Arab world. Her photography has been featured in the New York Times, National Geographic and Washington Post, among many others. She is skilled in filing thorough stories in a timely manner on news related features.
Before becoming a photographer, she earned her degrees in Telecommunications Engineering and International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
