In Pictures: How the poor pay more for water in West Africa

for WaterAid

WaterAid is a non-profit that works in Africa on issues to do with water, sanitation and health. Clean water is a necessity for everyone, but also one that poor people end up paying more for, especially in remote communities.

The assignment was to take photos for WaterAid, which were also to go with multiple pieces in The Guardian on water, maternity and sanitation. The photos were also used in a Newsweek piece on newborn mortality rates.
